Privacy policy

Short version: we collect what you send us so we can reply to you, and we do not sell it to anyone. The long version is below.

What we collect

• What you type into the contact form — your name, email address, phone number if you give one, and your message.
• Your opt-in record, if you tick the SMS box — the time, the page, your IP address, and the exact wording shown to you. We keep this because we have to be able to prove consent was given.
• Your newsletter signup, if you make one — your email address and first name, plus the time you confirmed. Nobody is added to the newsletter without clicking a confirmation link sent to that address.
• Basic analytics — aggregate page views and traffic sources, via Vercel Analytics. This does not use cookies and does not identify you individually.

We do not use advertising trackers, we do not build profiles on visitors, and there is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Why we have it

To reply to your enquiry, quote the work, and do the job if you hire us. That is the only reason. Contacting us for a quote does not put you on the newsletter; that list is separate and requires its own confirmed signup. Cold outreach email we send to businesses carries a working unsubscribe link in every message and a one-click unsubscribe header your mail app can use, and an address that unsubscribes is not contacted again.

Text messages

Mobile information and SMS opt-in data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile data is shared with anyone outside the service providers needed to deliver the message itself.

Who else touches it

Only the companies that run the plumbing, and only so far as they have to:

• Vercel — hosting and privacy-friendly analytics.
• Resend — delivers the contact form to our inbox, and holds the newsletter list and sends its issues.
• Google Workspace — our email.
• Twilio — delivers text messages, if you opted in.

None of them are permitted to use your information for their own purposes. We have never sold personal information and have no plans to.

How long we keep it

Enquiries stay in our email until they are no longer useful. Consent records are kept for as long as you are opted in, and for a period afterwards so we can show consent existed if we are ever asked. Ask us to delete your information and we will, except where we are required to keep a record of consent.

Your choices

• Reply STOP to any text to stop texts.
• Click the unsubscribe link in any email, or use the unsubscribe page with no link at all.
• Email hello@volpewebdesign.com to see what we hold on you, correct it, or have it deleted.
• California residents: you have the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the other two requests work the same way — just email us.

Children

This is a business-to-business service. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
